Sand in the smartphone - what to do?
If you were on the beach with your smartphone and did not protect it well enough, sand quickly penetrates the sensitive device. Then only a careful, but nevertheless thorough cleaning of the smartphone helps.
Rescue measures for the smartphone
Unfortunately, there is not much you can do if the smartphone falls into the sand unprotected. In the case of particularly expensive devices, it may be best to go to a qualified specialist workshop immediately. Otherwise, everything you do to free your smartphone from the sand should also consider whether this could affect your warranty.
- A fine brush is particularly suitable as an insert. Please note that it is a non "hairy" brush. Apart from that, the brush hair is also rummaging in your smartphone afterwards.
- If you have a hair dryer that can be set to a very weak level and cold air, you can also try to blow out the sand under the buttons and the side grooves of the unopened smartphone. Under no circumstances should you mess around with a hair dryer or even a vacuum cleaner in the opened smartphone.
- You should also not simply wipe the sand on the display with a cloth to avoid scratching the screen.
- In any case, you should take your time and try to remove the sand at rest, otherwise the damage will be greater afterwards than before.
