SayHEY and WhatsApp are similar in registration and setup, but there are some minor differences.
- As in WhatsApp, registration with sayHEY is made using your mobile phone number, which must be confirmed with an SMS code. You also choose a password and an account name.
- If you wish, sayHEY compares your contact list with the data stored on the servers of the messaging app. As in WhatsApp, all your friends who use the app are recognized.
