Disable protection from activity tracking - how it works
You can deactivate the protection against activity tracking on some websites in order to display all elements of the page. Here you can find out exactly which two ways this works with Firefox.
Disable activity tracking protection
In Firefox, you can set up activity tracking protection so that no data is sent to the site operator. What is good in terms of data protection and privacy, however, leads to problems on some pages because harmless cookies can also be blocked. On known sites and websites that you trust, you can deactivate the protection against activity tracking in Firefox as follows:
- Click the question mark at the top left of the URL to open a menu. In the second place you will find "Protection against activity tracking".
- If the protection against activity tracking is switched on and Firefox blocks cookies, you can switch off the feature here by clicking on "Deactivate for this page" (see picture).
- Now reload the page by pressing the [F5] key or by clicking on the arrow in a circle at the top left of the URL.
- Note: If the protection against activity tracking is activated, but there is no button to deactivate, no tracking cookies are active either. So there is simply nothing that is blocked.
Turn off activity tracking protection on all pages
While you can use the above method to turn off activity tracking on individual pages, this is also possible for all websites:
- Click on the menu button with the three dashes at the top right.
- Here you will find "Protection against activity tracking": On the right you can switch the feature on and off.
