Take a screenshot in Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker has an extra function for taking screenshots. For example, you can save a snapshot to send it on, or you can insert it into the film so that the effect is that the image freezes. We'll show you how it's done.

You can download the latest version of the Windows Movie Maker here from us.
- Open a project or add a video file.
- Move the slide control of the video preview to the point at which you want to take the screenshot.
- Click on the "Start" tab at the top and click on the "Snapshot" item (see picture).
- A new window opens in which you can now select the name and location of the image. Then click on the "Save" button.
- Now you can import the screenshot back into Movie Maker or do other things with it.
