You do not need an additional program to take a screenshot under Windows 7. You can also take a screenshot using keyboard shortcuts. We'll tell you how to photograph parts of the screen or the whole picture.
Windows 7: Take and edit screenshot
- At the top right of your keyboard you will find the [Print] key. This allows screenshots to be taken.
- Now open the start menu and look for "Paint" or another program for image editing.
- You can insert the screenshot with the key combination [Ctrl] + [V] or by right-clicking.
- If you wish, you can also edit the image and then save it.
Snipping Tool: Take a screenshot under Windows 7
The "Snipping Tool" is pre-installed under Windows 7. With this you can create screenshots directly in the appropriate size:
- Open the start menu, click on "All Programs" below and select the "Accessories" folder.
- Here you will find, among other things, the "Snipping Tool". A small window now opens.
- If you click the "New" button, you can mark the desired area of the screen with the mouse.
- If you click on the arrow next to "New", you can also cut out freehand or select individual windows.
- You can then edit the screenshot if you like and save it as a file.
- Tip: If you take screenshots more often, the Snipping Tool Plus can be an advantage.
