Remove Security Utility - Here's how it works
If you have the "Security Utility" on your computer, you should remove the adware as soon as possible. We'll show you how to do it.
Step 1: Uninstall Security Utility
The security utility is comparatively harmless adware that nests in your browser. The tool is said to protect you while surfing, but what exactly is happening is completely unclear.
- Uninstall Security Utility: Open the Control Panel and sort the list of installed programs by the installation date. Remove the entry "Security Utility" as well as all dubious new entries. You can find detailed step-by-step instructions here.
- AdwCleaner: The rest is done for you by the free AdwCleaner. Start the tool and run the short scan. Then all remains are removed by the Security Utility.
- Clean link: Often the adware is also fixed in the browser links. From there, the home page can be manipulated, among other things.
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: If you want to play it safe, you can also run a virus scan. This free virus scanner is extremely reliable in both the detection and the removal of pests.
