How long has GZSZ been in existence? All information about the cult soap
GZSZ is considered a cult series on German television. But how long has the series been around? We have summarized the most important information about the soap.
GZSZ has been around for so long
We'll tell you how long the series has been on RTL:
- Good times, bad times is already 26 years old this year. The soap opera has been broadcasting since May 1992 and has had a market share of around 20 percent for years.
- The soap originally goes back to the Australian series "The Restless Years", whose plot was taken over by GZSZ in the beginning. The series was broadcast from 1977 to 1981.
- The Dutch counterpart “Goede tijden, slechte tijden” (GTST) has been flickering on the screen since 1990.
- By the way, GZSZ also produced an offshoot: The “Großstadtträume” series ran on the same broadcaster from May 2000. The spin-off was discontinued after seven episodes, however, because the ratings were too bad.
- Good times, bad times run on weekdays at 7:40 p.m. on RTL.
