Many players from the title of From Software want a DLC for "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice". As usual, the developer is covering up for possible extensions and many are waiting impatiently for further adventures with Sekiro in Japan.
No DLC planned for "Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice"
So far, the chances of a DLC for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are rather bad. Developer From Software has announced no plans for possible extensions. Very little information is known about DLCs and they don't look good for fans of the game.
- According to a post on the ResetEra video game forum, an insider is said to have information about From Software's DLC plans. After this, the developer is not currently working on a DLC.
- The source of the insider was then confirmed by one of the responsible administrators of the forum. The reason for this should be the current development of the title "Elden Ring", which is to be published in 2020.
- It is not known whether DLCs are planned after the release of Elden Ring.
Not the same treatment as Dark Souls or Bloodborne
Missing DLCs to Sekiro are surprising for many players. Despite the good reviews and enthusiastic fans, From Software has so far refrained from adding further content for the title. Since the development studio is working on Elden Ring in a very targeted manner, many players assume that further development at Sekiro is completely finished. The DLCs for past studio titles have made an excellent contribution to improving the game:
- Dark Souls III : Dark Souls III received two DLC expansions after the release in spring 2016. "Ashes of Ariandel" was released just six months later, while "The Ringed City" was released a year later.
- Bloodborne : Only a DLC expansion, "The Old Hunters", was released for Bloodborne. This was only 8 months away.
- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is also a spring release and has not received any expansion until the end of 2019. This could indicate that the title no longer gets DLCs.
