With the Galaxy J5 and J7, Samsung has launched two selfie smartphones with a powerful front camera. Here we show you how the two smartphones compare.
Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7: the selfie smartphones
- The Samsung Galaxy J5 and the Samsung Galaxy J7 appeal primarily to the young target group. The main focus of these two smartphones is on the front camera.
- The camera shoots selfies with 5 megapixels, in low light conditions you can also use the front flash. In addition to the comparatively high resolution, the front camera offers a wide-angle mode and an optimized self-timer. The rear camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels.
Smartphone comparison: difference between Galaxy J5 and J7
- With a display diagonal of 5.5 inches, the Galaxy J7 is slightly larger than the J5 with 5 inches. However, the resolution for both devices is 1, 280 x 720 pixels.
- In the Galaxy J5, the significantly faster Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 works with 4 x 1.4 GHz and 4 x 1.0 GHz. The Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 is slower at 4 x 1.2 GHz.
- Both devices are shipped with Android 5.1. However, an update to Android 7 is now possible. The RAM on both smartphones is 1.5 GB.
- The battery of the Galaxy J5 is also a little larger. With 3, 000 mAh instead of 2, 600 mAh, roughly the same battery life is achieved.
- The internal memory of both models only holds 16 GB. If necessary, however, you can expand the memory with a microSD card by up to 128 GB.
