Cleaning the Senseo Switch: Instructions for inside and outside
You should clean the Senseo Switch coffee machine regularly - inside and outside. This not only serves to keep the machine clean, it is also good for your machine. We have put together a cleaning instruction for you.
Clean the inside and outside of the Senseo Switch - that's how it works
Regular and thorough cleaning will extend the life of your coffee machine. You can also enjoy coffee of consistently good quality.
- A Senseo Switch is a combination of a pad machine and a normal filter coffee machine. When cleaning, you should therefore consider both variants.
- Simply wipe the housing of the Senseo Switch with a damp cloth.
- Thoroughly cleaning most parts of the Senseo Switch is fairly easy because they are dishwasher safe. Place the pad holder, the coffee spout, the cover of the coffee spout and the drip tray, the cup tray and the cover of the cup tray in the dishwasher.
- The water tank and the thermos flask are not dishwasher-safe on the Senseo Switch. Rinse these two parts with hot water and a little washing-up liquid. Use detergent, then let enough clear water run over the washed parts.
- If you carry out the cleaning measures regularly, your coffee machine will always prepare consistently good coffee.
- You need to descale your Senseo from time to time - this is also part of regular cleaning. The coffee machine shows you when these measures are necessary. Then the CALC key lights up. We describe in detail how to descale your Senseo coffee machine in a separate article.
