SEO: Show backlinks in the browser
With this practical tip we show you how you can display backlinks in the browser.
Show backlinks with add-on for Firefox and Chrome
If you want to view the backlinks directly in the browser, you should use Firefox or Chrome. With the Firefox add-on "SEO Backlink Analyzer" or the Chrome add-on of the same name, you can directly see which other websites have linked your homepage. We show you how it works:
- First download and install the add-on for the respective browser.
- Open the add-on by clicking on the red asterisk, which is displayed in the menu bar of the browser after installation.
- A display opens from which you can see a detailed summary.
- If you now want to know which backlinks are set where, you have to click the second tab "backlinks".
- Then click "Get Access Token" to use this feature.
- A new window opens in which you have to register on the Majestic SEO website if you are not yet a member.
- Then save the access token in the add-on. However, please note that this function is only available to paying members. An overview of the prices can be found on the page.
- Tip: Alternatively, you can also use free SEO tools online and use them to check backlinks. A web-based tool can be found on SEO-united.de, for example. There you can enter the page to be checked and see the results shortly afterwards.
