Create a series appointment in the Google calendar - how it works
In your Google calendar you can create series appointments that recur in a defined pattern - for example birthdays or weekly meetings. We show how this works in this practical tip.
Repeating appointment in the Google calendar
You can access your Google calendar either with your Android device or via the normal Internet browser. With both you can create the appointments almost the same, but the browser version enables somewhat more demanding repetitive structures:
- In the Internet browser, first go to the Google calendar and log in with your Google account.
- Click the red "Enter appointment" button in the top left.
- In the editing window you will find the "Repeat ..." field at the top.
- Check the box and select in the pop-up window how exactly the appointment should be repeated - for a birthday on this date annually, for a meeting weekly at the same time.
- Then confirm with "Done".
Series appointment on Android smartphones or tablets
- If you want to use your Android device, first open the preinstalled calendar app.
- Then press the menu key and go to "New appointment".
- Scroll down and tap the narrow sub-heading "Repeat".
- Then change the selection from "One-off appointment" to one of the listed series samples.
Such series of appointments can also be created in Microsoft Outlook. You can read how exactly in this practical tip.
