In addition to the graphical update, the remake of Shadow of the Colossus also offers some Easter Eggs. These allow a wonderful review of the other games from Team ICO. In this practical tip, we introduce you to the best Easter Eggs in Shadow of the Colossus.
Easter Egg in Shadow of the Colossus: Ico Beach
Ico was integrated in the remake of Shadow of the Colossus as an easily overlooked Easter egg.
- The Easter Egg is located in part 5B of the map at the end of the extremely long beach when you ride west. There you will find a watermelon next to driftwood.
- This Easter Egg indicates the secret end of Ico, in which the main protagonist is washed up on the beach. He wakes up next to this watermelon.
Another Easter Egg: A memory of Trico
Trico is the friendly "monster" in The Last Guardian, which was also developed by Team ICO. In The Last Guardian, Trico loves to eat barrels of any kind. Through this, the player builds a basis of trust with the creature.
- If you are on your way to the sixth colossus, you should turn southwest at the shrine in field 5E .
- Search the path into a cave in the forest and you will find one of the barrels and numerous blue butterflies. These circle the barrel as in The Last Guardian.
A donkey in Shadow of the Colossus
Another Easter Egg in Shadow of the Colossus is a puzzle for many players.
- You will find this on the way to the tenth colossus, on the south side of the arena in a narrow tunnel. This is on the map in field 4B .
- In the tunnel you will find a pile of stones that you have to climb with jumps. On the top rock is the drawing of a donkey.
- Since the discovery of this Easter Egg, many players have wondered what it is all about. Often theories arise as to whether this donkey will appear in Team ICO's next project.
