Siemens dishwasher: Fix E15 error
If your dishwasher from Siemens has error E15, there is a problem with the water supply. We'll show you how to fix it.
Instructions: Solve error E15 at Siemens dishwasher
In the best case, only the inlet is blocked. You can check this relatively easily:
- First remove the dishwasher from the power. You must then carefully pull the dishwasher forward.
- To do this, turn off the tap and remove the inlet hose under the sink. Note that there is still water in the hose.
- Take a look into the strainer from the inlet hose. If the strainer is clogged or calcified, this may be the cause of the problem.
- Clean the strainer and try to start the dishwasher again.
Siemens dishwasher shows error E15
In many cases, water has accumulated in the floor pan with error E15. This can be caused by a defective pump or porous seals.
- Disconnect the dishwasher from the power and remove the inlet and outlet hoses. Note that the hoses are still filled with water.
- The instruction manual tells you how to open the dishwasher. The floor pan you are looking for is usually at the front or on the side.
- If you see water in the floor pan, remove it with a rag.
- Then look for the cause of the water ingress. If there is no problem, close the dishwasher and switch on the appliance.
- If the error occurs again, you can contact Siemens customer service. If the device is a bit older, in many cases it is no longer worth repairs.
