Silent Install for Firefox - how it works
With Silent Install, you can install Mozilla Firefox on Windows in just a few seconds without having to click through an annoying set-up menu. You can find out how to do this and what you need for this in this practical tip.
Silent Install for Mozilla Firefox - how it works
If you want to install Firefox with the standard settings, you can do it quickly and easily using the Silent Install. Of course, you need the program's installation file for this.
- Once you've downloaded the file, you can start the command prompt. You can find this easily via the Windows search, or start it in the Run window with the command "cmd". (without quotes)
- In the command prompt, navigate to the path of the installation file.
- With the command "cd" (without quotes) you can open any sub-folder. Simply enter, for example, "cd Downloads" to go to the Downloads folder. If you want to open the parent folder, enter the command "cd ..".
- As soon as you have called up the corresponding path, you can start with the silent install. To do this, enter the full file name including the file extension and then add "-ms" (without quotation marks). Confirm with Enter.
- Firefox is now quickly installed in the background with the default settings.
- Tip: You can also uninstall Firefox just as easily. Instead of adding "-ms" after the file name, just add "/ S". Note that in the standard uninstallation, the computer is restarted after the uninstallation.
