Sims 3 - the top 5 secrets
The road to happiness is not always easy, even in the Sims 3. But numerous secrets await you, which will make your virtual life easier and, above all, make it more entertaining. We have picked out five particularly great tricks for you - cheats, our own music playlist and the famous nude patch.
Secret No. 5: The slightly different cheats
You can always let your Sims live with cheats, but not every trick simply brings wealth. We have therefore selected the funniest cheats for you. To enter them, open the console by pressing CTRL, Shift and C at the same time.
- slowMotionViz x - Runs the game in slow motion. Instead of x, put the digits 0 to 8, 0 means normal speed
- enableLlamas - Enables llamas
- jokePlease - Shows a joke
- testingcheatsenabled true - Enables test mode
- help - Lists all valid input commands - including the classic cheats

Secret No. 4: testingcheatsenabled and the mailbox
If you first open the chat console (press CTRL, Shift and C) and then enter the code testingcheatsenabled true, your mailbox will receive new functions.
- Hold down the Shift key and click on the mailbox. You can now make your Sims happy, set levels and careers, and force visitors.
- You can also switch between dynamic (normal) and static needs and directly influence them.
Secret # 3: Guaranteed twins on the Sims
With this trick you double your baby happiness: Open the cheat console by pressing CTRL, Shift and C at the same time. Then click on the pregnant ledge and type in the console forcetwins. This guarantees double the fun after birth.
Secret No. 2: radio with its own music
If you can no longer stand the Sims radio patience, you can easily add your own playlist:
- Find your user's Windows-specific documents folder - usually under C: \ Users \ yourusername \ My documents
- Find the Electronic Arts \ The Sims 3 folder
- The Custom Music folder should be in the Sims 3 directory; if not, create it again.
- Now copy the music you want to hear in the game into this folder. This works but unfortunately only mp3 files work.
Secret # 1: the nude patch
The nude patch for Sims 3 is not completely free of age.
