Sims 4: Gardening - The Best Tips
If you know the best tips for gardening, you can benefit from a green nature game in "The Sims 4". In this practical tip you will learn what you should consider when working in the garden and what there is to discover level by level.
Tip 1: Master the basics of gardening in "The Sims 4"
There are almost no limits to the design of your garden. You can decorate the garden as you wish, insert fountains or spray the lawn with a pattern. Lamps and hedges are just as welcome in your garden as well-positioned stones. However, if you want to grow plants yourself, you should know the basics and proceed as follows:
- First, buy an appropriate flower pot or planter.
- Click on "Buy seeds" and switch to the Sim inventory after purchase. Unpack the plants there.
- Position the plants by drag & drop in the flower pot or box and plant them with one click and the selection "Plants".
- The plants must be watered regularly. Therefore, click on the plants again and again and check whether you can select "Water". You have to do this every few days at the latest and every time you replant.
- Since not only plants but also weeds grow in the flower pots and boxes, you should remove them regularly. To do this, click on the plant and select "Weeding".
- Harvest the plants when the time comes, such as fruit. You can also examine the plants by taking a microscope sample, for example.
Tip 2: Learn the gardening skill in "The Sims 4"
If you have mastered gardening, you can continue to expand your skills and not only become better, but also get more and more opportunities. We show you what new skills you get in each level.
- In the first level you learn the basics. So you can grow the plants, water and weed them, and then harvest them. In addition, you can spray the plants against beetles.
- From the second level, you can do research on gardening on the computer.
- In the third level you learn how to fertilize the plants.
- If you speak to the plants from the fourth level onwards, this fulfills your need for social contacts.
- In the fifth level, you will have the opportunity to take cuttings off your plants and then refine them.
- From the sixth level, other Sims can praise your gardening.
- In the seventh level you get the "super green thumb", which is why you can even revive one or the other received plant. You can now also purchase the Farmer's Dream Seed Pack.
- From the eighth level, you can cut large bonsai.
- In the ninth level you will receive "more efficient garden maintenance", which will make your work much easier. Because now you can maintain all plants with just one click with the "Garden maintenance" option.
- The tenth level completes your gardening ability with the achievement "Green Thumb".
Tip 3: You should keep this in mind when gardening in "The Sims 4"
The gardening in "The Sims 4" is extremely diverse and you can discover a lot. In the following points, you can find out what else is worth knowing about gardening and what needs to be considered.
- Your Sim must be at least teenage to learn gardening skills.
- If you want the skill to move quickly and work particularly efficiently, make sure your Sim is focused.
- You can get into the gardening skill by buying flower pots and boxes that you stock with seeds. You can also consult the computer or read the three-volume gardening series as a book.
- In "The Sims 4" you can also cross plants and spice up your garden a little. For example, if you cross a tulip and a chrysanthemum, you get the bird of paradise. At the cross between snapdragons and dragon fruit, the coveted cow plant comes out - whereby the dragon fruit itself is a cross between strawberry and snapdragons.
- You can always see how satisfied your plants are. This is important so that they can grow optimally. You can see how satisfied your plants are by moving the mouse over the respective bed.
- If happy plants start to glitter, you can expand them further and upgrade them with the options "pretty", "perfect" or "great".
