Sims 4: Let the Sim pull out and divide up the household
For example, if an adult child of the Sim family wants to move out in Sims 4, you can split the household. In this practical tip, we will show you how easy it is.
New division: This is how your Sims move into their own household
If you decide to make room in the Sim family or limit yourself to one or a handful of Sims, you can have some Sims pulled out. We will show you how to do it step by step:
- Click on the house in question on the city map.
- Select the three points "More".
- Click "Manage Household".
- Then decide on the exchange arrows "move ledges between households".
- You can now see the current household on the left and the future household on the right. Select one or more Sims to move out.
- Click "Create New Household" or choose a different Sim family. In this way, the Sim could be integrated into an existing family.
- Once you have decided, click on the "Transfer Sim (s)" arrow.
- Check again in the overview whether everything is correct. Then, with a click on the check mark, you decide to move out the Sim or the Sim and thus to divide up the households.
Tips and tricks for budget management after the division
If the Sim is finally removed, you will no longer find it in the household. If you have integrated him into another family, you will find him there. Proceed as follows for a new household:
- Your Sim is now in the budget management. To do this, click on the family symbol at the top right of the city overview.
- Select "Unplayed households" above. Your Sim should then appear in the overview under the first hits. If this is not the case, you should filter for "last edited".
- With one click on the Sim household, you can now assign the Sim to a new property, integrate it back into the old or a new household, delete it or edit it.
