Singstar: Play PS2 on PS3 - Here's how
If you want to play the old Singstar songs from the PS2 again on the PS3, this has been possible since an update. On this page we show you how to get the old CDs up and running.
Play Singstar for PS2 on PS3
Since the firmware update 2.30 you can also use Singstar from the PS2 on the PS3. If you haven't used your PS3 for several years, simply connect the console to the Internet and start the firmware update.
- Now insert the Singstar CD for the PS3 and start the game.
- Go to the song selection menu and press the Select button on the controller.
- Now a prompt to change the CD appears. Now insert the Singstar CD for the PS2.
- After a short wait, the respective songs appear on the PS2 CD and can be sung as usual.
- Note: It doesn't matter which Singstar version you have. You only need any Singstar CD for the PS3 to start the old CDs for the PS2.
