In this practical tip, we explain how you can show and hide objects in Google's SketchUp. It works with just a few clicks of the mouse.
SketchUp: Hide objects - how it works
With the free 3D software "SketchUp Make" for Windows and Mac OS you can quickly create 3D objects. To make the work clearer, you can hide individual objects. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Start SketchUp and open any file in which an object should be hidden.
- Mark all lines and areas of the object you want to hide.
- Right-click on the selected polygons and select the "Group" option. All marked objects are linked together.
- With another right click you can hide the group.

If you want to show your object again, proceed as follows:
- Click the "Window" tab in the menu bar and select "Outline". A new window opens, which shows you all objects that are hidden and shown.
- Select your desired group with a right click and click on the "Show" option.
- Your desired object is displayed.
