Skrill: Overview of fees for private customers
The fees charged at Skrill depend on how intensively you use your account. If you use your account privately, there are hardly any costs:
- Registration itself is free of charge at Skrill.
- Pay with your account on the Internet or replenish your balance, there are no fees.
- However, if you send money to other users, Skrill charges a fee of 1% of the amount, up to a maximum of 10 euros.
- If you, as a private individual, have not used your account for more than twelve months and do not make a transaction, you will be charged a fee of one euro a month, provided that there is credit in your account. If you have not deposited any money with Skrill, there are no costs.
Skrill: Fee overview for business customers
If you have registered your account as a payment account, for example with an internet auction house, it is considered a merchant account.
- Account setup and fraud monitoring by Skrill are free.
- When receiving payments, the provider charges a fee of 2.9% of the amount, other transactions cost 25 cents plus 2.9% of the amount.
- Using the gateway at Skrill costs you as a business customer 19.95 euros per month.
- Refunds incur EUR 0.49 per transaction.
- When you send money, Skrill charges a total of 1% of the amount sent.
- Reversals cost EUR 25.00 for credit and debit cards and EUR 7.00 for direct debit.
- If you as a business customer do not use your account for more than twelve months and do not make a transaction, you will also be charged a fee of one euro a month. However, this is only the case if there are funds in your account. If you have not deposited anything with Skrill, there are no costs.
