You can often fix this error yourself in just a few simple steps:
- Make sure that you have inserted the smart card the right way round and correctly.
- If you receive the error on only one transmitter, it may be because you have not booked it.
- If you think this is a mistake and are sure that you have booked this channel, you should contact Sky Customer Service.
- It is also important that you only use the receiver that was sent to you.
- You should also only use the Sky receiver with your Sky Smartcard. Other providers have different encryption methods, which is why this error can occur.
- You should also make sure that all cables are properly connected and intact.
- Defective cables should be replaced immediately to prevent another defect.
