Stream Sky Q instead of Sky Go on Apple TV
The new Sky Q service has been available since mid-2018. The difference between Sky Q and Sky Go is not too big.
- While you can't get Sky Go streamed straight to Apple TV, Sky Q makes it a lot easier. You can download the app directly from the App Store on any 4th generation or newer Apple TV.
- You can only use the Sky Q app on your Apple TV if you also have a Sky Q receiver at the same time. If you are still using the Sky + Receiver, access to the Sky Q app will be denied. In this case
Apple TV: Can Sky Go Stream?
You can currently only partially stream Sky Go on the Apple TV. The transfer is only possible via Windows PC or MacBook. There is no separate app for the Apple TV.
- Unfortunately, there is no way to stream Sky Go from your iPhone or iPad to the Apple TV using the Sky Go app. According to Sky, no possibility is being worked on either.
- For licensing reasons, streaming from the smartphone is simply not allowed. However, there are detours and alternatives.
Stream Sky Go to Apple TV
You have the following options here:
- Stream: If you download the Sky Q app on your MacBook, the transmission can be easily streamed to the Apple TV via AirPlay. You need the additional AirParrot application on your Windows computer.
