Sky Go: Fix error 6030
Error 6030 is related to a security update from Microsoft. After installing the update, it is no longer possible in individual cases to correctly save the DRM licenses required for retrieval via Microsoft Silverlight. To fix the error, you need to reinstall Silverlight.
- Open the control panel in the start menu.
- Select "Programs and Features".
- Look for the entry "Microsoft Silverlight". Start the deinstallation by double-clicking on the entry.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation.
- Then download Microsoft Silverlight and run the file by double-clicking on "Silverlight.exe".
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install Silverlight.
- Close the browser and start it again.
- In Sky Go, select the movie you want and right-click in the player window. In the dialog, activate the "Activate application memory" box.
Sky Go - Error 6030: Install older version of Silverlight
If this solution does not help, you will need to install an older version of Silverlight. To do this, proceed as follows.
- Uninstall the current version of Silverlight as described above.
- You must then install an older version of Microsoft Silverlight.
- To do this, select an older version from the Microsoft Release History of Silverlight.
- Never choose "Beta Builds". These are particularly unstable. Sky Go should work with both Silverlight 4.1 and 5.0.
- After downloading, install Silverlight as described above. After restarting the browser, Sky Go should work again.
