We'll show you what to do if you have a problem with Sky Go and get an "Unauthorized" error.
Therefore, authorization is not possible with Sky Go
If you can't authorize your device with Sky Go, the reason is probably due to your previous authorizations.
- As soon as you log in to Sky Go with your access data, this device will be authorized. According to Sky itself, a total of up to four devices can be authorized.
- So if you want to log in to Sky Go from a different device a fifth time, this is not possible. An error message appears, the authorization fails.
- You can view the Sky Go device list in your account and reset it within a certain period of time. However, this is not possible daily or weekly, so you should start by carefully considering which devices you want to authorize.
- If this is the reason for incorrect authorization, it only helps to wait for the period and to adapt the authorized devices. During this period, you can only access your four previously authorized devices on Sky Go.
Reset Sky Go device list - how it works
If you want to add new devices, you should make some settings in your account on the Sky Go website. However, please note that you can only reset the Sky Go device list every 60 days.
- First of all, you should open the Sky Go website in your browser before clicking the login button in the top right corner.
- Then log in with your customer number or email address and your personal password. Have your Sky contract documents ready.
- Then click on the "Settings" button to the left of "Logout". Scroll down for an overview of all previously registered devices.
- Finally, select the blue button "Reset device list" if you have reached the maximum number of four authorized devices.
Sky Go: No authorization for other reasons
If you haven't used all the authorizations yet, there may be other reasons.
- It is possible that Silverlight will solve the problem. In this case, you should uninstall and then reinstall Silverlight on your computer. Then go back to the Sky Go homepage and try to log in and start the corresponding video.
- Not all devices support Sky Go. For example, if you try to log in with Kindle Fire or Google Chromecast, it won't work. Sky Go is only supported on your computer, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or your Xbox 360.
- If you are abroad at the time of authorization, a login to Sky Go is also not easily possible or is not supported by Sky.
