Sky note 326: Missing smart card assignment - this is how you proceed
If error 326 appears on your TV with Sky receiver and the message "Missing smart card assignment", there is usually only a minor error in the assignment. We show you how the hint is caused and how you can get rid of it quickly.

- If the note code 326 appears on your Sky receiver, first press the error away with the C key on the remote control. There is an error recording a program.
- For legal reasons, recordings with a Sky receiver are subject to strict conditions. Smartcard and receiver must be registered with Sky under the same contract number.
- Error 326 is displayed if the contract number of the smart card does not match the contract number of the receiver or the external hard drive. However, the problem can be solved quickly.
- If you encounter this problem when setting up Sky for the first time, you should proceed as described in the second paragraph.
- If the transmitters have already worked and the problem suddenly occurs, there is a simple trick that often leads to success. Simply pull the smart card briefly out of the receiver and then reset it. Usually the reception comes back.

- Have your Sky customer number as well as the model and serial number of the receiver and the smart card ready for the call. The support will compare the said data with you and set up the access correctly for you. Error 326 disappears shortly after the call.
