Sky Q: set up WLAN - how it works

With the Sky Q Receiver you can watch thousands of series and films, use apps or watch TV shows again. But to be able to use all of this, you have to connect your receiver to the WLAN. We explain how this works here.
Connect the Sky Q Receiver to the WLAN
To be able to connect to the WLAN, you must have properly connected your Sky Q Receiver to the power and television. Then follow these three steps:
- Go to "Settings" under "My Sky Q".
- Now click on "Status". You will find this in the left bar.
- Then select the "Network connections" setting. Now select your WLAN and enter the password.
General facts about Sky Q
If you have connected your Sky Q Receiver to the WLAN, you have thousands of options to use it:
- If you subscribe to Sky, you can get the Sky Q Receiver for free.
- You can of course also receive and record normal TV channels on a Sky Q receiver.
- You can also use a Sky TV stick instead of a Sky Q receiver. This offers a smaller range of functions, but is also cheaper.
- There are different subscriptions on Sky. These are called sky tickets. The Entertainment, Cinema and Supersport packages are available here.
- The "Entertainment" ticket offers thousands of series parallel to the US launch, which is missing from some other services. These include many of Sky 's own productions and exclusive series such as "Game of Thrones".
- The "Cinema" ticket offers over a thousand films, often directly after the film has been released.
- The "Supersport" ticket costs 9.99 euros in the first month and then 29.99 euros per month. You can also buy a day pass for 9.99 euros. This is not a subscription and therefore ends automatically after one day. The ticket not only offers football and Bundesliga conferences, but also serves other sports tastes such as Formula 1, golf, handball and tennis.
