Connect Sky Receiver to TV - how it works
When unpacking your Sky Receiver, make sure that all components are included. In the operating instructions you will also see a list of all connections to the receiver and an explanation. There are two ways to connect the receiver to your TV.
- If you use a scart cable (see picture), plug it into the sockets on the receiver and on the TV set.
- You will get better quality when using an HDMI cable. In this case too, connect the TV and the receiver via the corresponding HDMI sockets. However, the HDMI connection of your TV set must be "HD ready".
- Next, you can connect the supplied power cable to the receiver and plug it into the socket.
- Now all you have to do is plug the antenna cable into the antenna socket on the receiver and insert the smart card on the front of the receiver into the slot provided. Make sure that the chip on the card is facing down.
How to set up the Sky Receiver
Once you have made all the necessary connections and inserted the smart card correctly, you can start the receiver.
- Turn on the TV and start Sky. Press "Menu" on your remote control. The service menu is preselected, you only need to confirm with "OK".
- Navigate here to "Search" to be able to start the station search, confirm again with "OK".
- Under "Mode" you will find "Start search". The option "All providers" is already preset. Now start the search with "OK".
If you have gone through all the steps, you can now use the Sky program. If you would like to sort the programs found on the Sky Receiver, we also have instructions for you.
