Restart the sky receiver
If the Sky Receiver has hung up, a restart of the device often helps. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Unplug the device and wait a few minutes.
- Plug in the power plug and start the receiver.
Reset Sky receiver to factory settings
If the problem persists despite restarting the receiver, you can reset the receiver to the factory settings. However, all settings and the station list will be lost. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Open the item "Settings" or "Service". The name of the menu can vary.
- Select the item "Reset to factory settings" and execute it.
- Wait a few minutes for the receiver to restart.
Sky Receiver: Run firmware update
Check whether the software is up to date. Software errors are often remedied via a firmware update. You can receive this update for the receiver via satellite or cable. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Open the item "Settings" or "Service". The name of the menu varies depending on the manufacturer.
- Select the "Firmware update" item.
- If there is a newer software version for the receiver, you will receive a corresponding message.
