Sky error: Smartcard not configured for cable reception - what to do?
- In order for you to be able to receive Sky without any problems, you must insert the appropriate smart card for your contract in the receiver supplied by Sky.
- Insert the smart card into the receiver so that the arrow is at the top and points forward. Push the card in until it clicks into place.
- The smart card may also be dirty or scratched, which is why it cannot be read correctly. Take a look, in particular, at the magnetic stripe on the card.
- If this error still occurs afterwards, the smart card or the receiver may not be linked to your contract.

- You may receive a new receiver after describing your problem so that you can enjoy the variety of channels.
