Stream Sky Snap with Chromecast
With the new update of the "Snap by Sky" app for "Android" and "iOS", Google’s Chromecast TV stick is now also supported. This means you can now stream content from the Sky Snap online video store to your TV from your mobile device or PC via WiFi:
- Connect Chromecast to your smart TV using the HDMI port. To be able to stream content from the Sky Snap online video store, which is subject to a charge, the stick must be connected to your WiFi network. To integrate the Chromecast stick into your WiFi network, you need the Chromecast app on your computer.
- Then open the "Snap by Sky" app on your iPhone, iPad, tablet or smartphone. Then press the "Cast" button to select series or films from the Snap video library. You can search for specific titles, directors, or actors. The selected title is then played on your television via the respective operating system.
- You can put the remote control aside because the control is entirely via the Snap app on your tablet or smartphone.
- In order to be able to watch your desired film smoothly on your TV, you need the fastest possible internet connection. To be able to stream films in HD smoothly, you need a DSL bandwidth of at least 6 Mbit / s. A DSL 1, 000 line is sufficient for titles in SD quality.
