The PayTV provider Sky offers you the streaming services "Sky Go" and "Sky Snap". You can use them to watch the TV program on the go and on the Internet. In this practical tip we compare the offers for you.
Sky services in comparison: Sky Go
Sky Go is actually nothing more than the mobile version of Sky. This means that you can also see the station's streaming offer on your smartphone or tablet.
- The "Sky Go" offer is included in every Sky subscription. As a customer of the PayTV provider, you can automatically access Sky live streams, films and series at no additional cost.
- With "Sky Go" you also have access to the package you have booked on the go. For example, if you have booked the "film package", you can only watch it on the go. The content therefore depends on your existing contract.
- You can watch "Sky Go" on various smartphones, tablets and some game consoles. You can find a detailed list here. You can use the offer on up to four devices at the same time.
Sky Snap: Compared to Sky Go
The "Sky Snap" offer, on the other hand, corresponds more to an online video store, such as Netflix.
- For "Sky Snap" you pay EUR 3.99 a month, even if you are already a Sky customer.
- All contents of the offer are available on demand. However, the offer is comparatively small. Almost all other online video stores available in Germany have a larger range of films. In this article we have tested the offers in more detail for you.
- In addition to the smartphones, consoles and tablets on which you can also use "Sky Go", "Sky Snap" adds a few SmartTVs, as well as Chromecast and AirPlay support. All devices can also be found here.
- You can also use the "Sky Snap" offer offline.
