Use Skype on PSP - Here's how
Here we explain what you need to consider when downloading Skype for your PSP and how you can use the application.
Requirement: PSP-2000 and firmware version 3.90
No separate download is required to use Skype on your PlayStation Portable. The software is already part of the firmware from version 3.90.
- However, please note that you must have either a PSP-2000, PSP-3000, or PSP-N1000 (PSPgo). Skype does not work on the PSP-1000.
- You also need a suitable headset (PSP-270) and headphones with remote control (PSP-S140 series) or a USB microphone (PSP-240). PSPgo owners can also use a Bluetooth headset.
- A Memory Stick Duo with at least 1 MB of free space is also required.
- You also need access to the Internet via WLAN.
- If you are using an older firmware version than 3.90 on your PSP and want to use Skype, you must first carry out a firmware update. Alternatively, you can download version 6.60 here and install it manually.
