Skype: "This photo is not available" - what to do?
If Skype reports a "This photo is unavailable" error, you cannot receive or send pictures using Skype. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Skype error: This photo is not available
Unfortunately, this is a recurring problem for which there is no optimal solution. As a rule, however, the error can be rectified or at least avoided.
- First try to update the program. It is not uncommon for new versions to have small bugs that will only be resolved with the next update. To do this, select "Check for updates" under the "Help" category at the top of Skype.
- If this does not help, there may be a bug in the program. If necessary, create a Skype backup and uninstall Skype completely. It is best to use a special tool such as the GeekUninstaller. You can then download and reinstall the latest version of Skype.
- Often, any attachments can be sent, but the project fails with pictures. By changing the file type, the images are still sent by Skype. Follow this guide to change file extensions and try the file extensions .webp, .webp, or .bmp.
- You can also bridge the time until the next update with a file host. On websites such as uploaded.net or picload.org you can upload your pictures and forward a download link to all the people you want.
In the next practical tip, we will show you the best alternatives to Skype.
