Skype for Mac: block contacts - how it works
You can also block contacts using Skype software for Mac. You will then no longer be able to reach blocked contacts, as they will always be shown as offline.
Mac: Block unwanted contacts in Skype
Sign in to Skype.
- Right-click on one of the contacts in the left display.
- Select "Block contact ...". Note: Instead of "contact", the name is given.
- You will then have to confirm again that you want to block the contact. To do this, click on "Block".

If you want to unlock a user again, then follow these instructions.
- Click "Contacts" on the Skype menu bar.
- Select "Blocked contacts".
- Highlight the contact you want to unlock.
- With "Share" you can add the contact back to your contact list. Finally click on "Done".
