- Click on "Actions" in the top right corner of Skype and select "Options".
- Go to the "Audio Settings" category on the left and check whether the correct devices are activated for the microphone and speakers.
- Then switch to "Video Settings" on the left and select the right webcam here.
- Your changes are accepted by clicking the "Save" button.
Skype problem: Update driver of the sound card
- Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously so that the "Execute" command opens.
- Enter "devmgmt.msc" here and confirm with "OK". Then the device manager starts.
- Under the category "audio, video and game controllers", "audio inputs and outputs" and "image processing devices" you will find all relevant drivers.
- Right-click each device in these categories and select the "Update Driver Software" option.
- If a new driver is available, Windows will automatically install it. The problem should no longer appear in Skype after an update.
