The Best Skyrim Addons: General Tweaks & Extensions
- To fix numerous bugs in the game, you should download the Unofficial Skyrim Patch. If you have installed the respective extensions, the patches for Dragonborn, Hearthfire and Dawnguard are also recommended.
- The popular SkyUI mod replaces the usual Skyrim inventory with a clearer and more informative interface that offers more space for items (see screenshot).
- A Quality World Map and Solstheim Map is an addon that significantly improves the map in the game and makes it more useful. Thanks to the extension, even the streets are shown on the Skyrim map, which makes navigation much easier.
The best Skyrim addons: Improved graphics
- If your PC has no problems with the highest graphics settings in Skyrim, you should not miss the Skyrim HD mod. The textures it contains have a resolution four to eight times higher than the original texture files.
- The Static Mesh Improvement Mod is also recommended: With this add-on you get revised 3D models in Skyrim - countless objects and objects look chic and realistic than before.
- The Ruffled Feather is a true add-on collection: with this extensive mod you can tweak the look of water and plants, but also get prettier stones, rocks and sky phenomena.
- And if you like it bloody, you will be pleased with the add-on Enhanced Blood Textures, which gives the blood splashes and traces in Skyrim a new look (see screenshot).

- With the addon Immersive Armors, Skyrim is expanded by 55 new armor sets. On top of that there are lots of signs, but also earrings, caps, scarves and eye patches.
- The corresponding counterpart Immersive Weapons brings 224 new weapons and 6 additional bow arrows.
- Climates of Tamriel renews the climatic conditions in Skyrim with more than 500 additional weather models, countless day and night simulations, more realistic clouds and huge thunderstorms with spectacular lightning and rain showers.
- The Skyrim addon Hammerfell - Shadows of Dragonstart expands the playable world by about 30%: With the mod, you can not only explore new parts of the sky, but also the north of Hammerfells, the home of the Red Guardians. Numerous new locations as well as a main and three side quests await you here.
- UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul fundamentally revises the companion system: thanks to the add-on, you have significantly more interaction options with companions, which makes them truly useful.
- For outdoor and survival fans, Frostfall - Hypothermia Camping Survival is the perfect mod: With this you can spend the night in tents in Skyrim and build campfire sites. However, they are now also susceptible to cold and water and require fire to warm up again.
