Skyrim: The best cheats and console commands
To be able to enter cheats in Skyrim, you have to press the ^ key. The console then opens. Of course, this only works with the PC version of the game and not with the PS3 or Xbox 360 version. Make sure that you enter the respective cheat correctly: After opening the console, the first letter is often not recognized. We'll tell you the most important cheats in this practical tip.
The 10 best Skyrim cheats
- tgm → activates Godmode. Your character becomes immortal.
- player.resethealth → replenishes the health of your character completely.
- player.setlevel xx → This allows you to change the level of your character. Instead of the "xx" enter the desired level.
- player.modav carryweight xxx → Instead of the "xxx", enter the maximum weight that your character should be able to carry. The default value is 300. It is therefore advisable to choose a higher value.
- player.placeatme 10BF90 → You get a ghost horse with infinite endurance.
- player.additem 0000000f xxx → gives you additional gold pieces. Enter the desired quantity instead of "xxx".
- player.additem 0000000A xxx → gives you extra lockpicks. Enter the desired quantity instead of "xxx".
- setscale x → changes the size of the selected item.
- kill → kills the enemy or NPC (non-player character) you just marked.
- unlock → opens all doors and boxes - even without a suitable key. Focus on the target and enter the command.
Cheats for your own character
- advlevel → increases the player level.
- player.setav speedmult xxx → changes the speed at which the character moves. Enter the desired value instead of "xxx". The default is 100. Higher values Accelerate the figure.
- player.setcrimegold x → With the value "x" you determine the bounty that is exposed to your character.
- tdetect → Your character is no longer noticed by the NPCs.
- psb → gives you all the magic and screams. To use them, you must also find the Words of Power.
- ignorecrime 1 → All characters ignore your crimes. With the value "0" you reset the cheat.
- set decapitationchance to x → changes the probability of beheading an opponent (x = value from 1 to 100).
- set killmoverandom to x → changes the probability of finishing an opponent with a finishing move (x = value from 1 to 100).
- sexchange → changes the gender of the character.
- showracemenu → displays the character creation menu. Before entering, you should switch to 3rd person view.
Manipulate NPCs and enemies through console commands
- resethealth → completely restores the health of the selected NPC.
- resurrect → With this command you can revive a dead NPC.
- killall → All nearby enemies and NPCs are killed.
- stopcombat → The selected NPC stops fighting immediately.
- tc → allows you to control the targeted NPC.
- disable → removes the selected item or NPC from the game. If you then enter "enable", the command is canceled.
- openactorcontainer 1 → opens the inventory of the selected NPC. You can then remove or add items.
Skyrim cheats for quests and the game world
- caqs → automatically solves all active quests.
- MoveToQT → takes you directly to the next quest destination.
- tmm 1 → completely reveals the card.
- tfow 1 → reveals the Fog of War.
Affect the camera in the Elder Scrolls 5
- fov x → With this cheat you change the field-of-view.
- animcam → detaches the camera from the character.
- tcl → switches the collision with objects in the game world on and off.
- tfc → switches the free camera on or off.
- tfc 1 → switches the free camera on or off and pauses the entire game.
Modify own skills
To modify the skills of your character, you must enter the command "player.setav" in the console, followed by the name of the skill and the desired value (between 1 and 100). An example: The cheat "player.setav marksman 69" (without quotes) sets your shooting skill to the value 69.
