Make slush ice cream yourself: step by step
If you have all the ingredients and utensils for the slush ice cream together, you can start producing. We show you step by step how it works:
- First mix some water with the fruit syrup. Add more or less water depending on how sweet you like your slush ice cream. Tip: The higher the sugar content of the fruit syrup, the less firm the slush ice will be. Alternatively, you can use yogurt or juice. This is how you get a healthier variant of slush ice cream.
- Now pour the water-fruit syrup mixture into the ice cube mold. Fill the mold to the brim, as if you were making ordinary ice cubes.
- Place the ice cube tray in the freezer and let it freeze for about 10 hours.
- When the 10 hours are up, remove the ice cube mold from the freezer and remove the colored ice cubes from the mold. If you have a blender with an ice crush function, put the ice cubes in there. If not, put the ice cubes in a bowl and use a potato masher to help yourself.
- Mix or pound the ice cubes as small as possible. This gives them the typical slush ice consistency.
- Then pour the slush ice into a glass. You can decorate it or put a straw on it - the homemade slush ice cream is ready.
