Build a smartphone holder from an old shampoo bottle
As a creative gift or for yourself: Building a smartphone holder out of a shampoo bottle is very simple and quick. We give you instructions with a photo gallery.
A shampoo bottle becomes a smartphone holder - do it yourself
All you need is an empty shampoo bottle, scissors, a box knife and a pencil to mark. In our photo gallery you can click through all steps again with pictures:
- First remove the bottle cap. Most of the time, this can simply be turned off.
- Rinse the bottle and remove the stickers if necessary. The easiest way to do this is to soak and peel them under warm water.
- Now cut off the upper part of the bottle.
- Next, draw a line in the middle of the front of the container. From the side ends of the middle line, draw to the cut-out part on the back and cut out this part.
- The only thing missing is the hole that should be about the size of the socket. Draw a square of at least 4x4cm on the remaining back.
- After this is cut out, your "blank" is ready. Now you have to adjust the height of the front so that your smartphone fits into the socket with the charger plugged in.
- Finally, only the design is missing. There are no limits here. Whether painting, stickers or anything else - let your creativity run wild.
- Tip: If you want to decorate the bracket with color, you should first look at what you have to consider when painting plastic.
