Transfer smartphone contacts to Excel - how it works
With the "Google Excel" app and a few clicks, smartphone contacts can be easily transferred to Excel. We show you how it works. You can find illustrated step-by-step instructions in our gallery.
Transfer smartphone contacts to Excel using "Contacts Excel"
Download and install the app for Android in either the full or lite version. The app is also available for iOS - also as a full or lite version. The differences between the two versions are the price and the amount of contacts that can be exported in one operation. The lite version is free. However, it exports a maximum of 210 contacts to an Excel file. The paid version for currently 2.69 euros exports unlimited contact lists.
- Open the app and mark "Export".
- Click on "Start".
- You can now choose a file type. Select "Separate" to get an Excel file with one value per cell. Click on Continue".
- Select the account you want to export contacts from and click "Next".
- Enter from and up to which position you want to export the telephone contacts. Click "Next" again.
- The conversion process starts and your contacts are exported. Finally, you can choose a storage type. Have the created Excel file sent to you by email, for example. Click on Continue".
- If you have chosen the "E-Mail" option, the corresponding mail application is started and an e-mail draft is opened, which contains the Excel file in the attachment. If you send the mail to yourself, you can call it up later on your PC and use the Excel file.
