Snapchat: Find friends - how it works

If you want to contact your friends on Snapchat, they are usually easy to find. We'll show you how it's done.

Note: To add a friend you need the Snapchat name. If you are currently unable to inquire about the name, you will often find a note on Instagram or Facebook.

1. Launch Snapchat and swipe right to left. You are now in the "Stories" area.
2. If you enter your friend's name in the search above, the "Add username" section will appear.
3. If you tap the plus symbol on the right, the contact will be added to your friends list.
