Snapchat: set privacy - how it works
If you do not want snaps sent to you by strangers in Snapchat, you should set your privacy correctly. Our article on Snapchat security shows you which changes you need to make and where.
Set privacy in Snapchat - so make your account safe
- Open the Snapchat app (Android / iOS) and log in with your username and password.
- Tap the white frame in the lower left corner. You will then see the Snapchat history of your last snaps.
- Then select the gear icon at the top right, which will lead you to the settings.
- Under the heading "Who can ..." you will now find the items "Send me snaps" and "View my story".
- Here you can choose who can send you snaps (Anyone or your friends) and who can view your story (Anyone, your friend or Custom) or choose "Custom" to choose your friends' contacts who will view your story allowed to.
Note: If your privacy settings are not enough for you, you can delete your Snapchat account.
