Windows Phone hangs: This is how the soft reset works
A soft reset is nothing more than a simple restart. No data is lost in the process. If your Windows Phone stops responding or other errors occur, you can force a restart:
- Simultaneously press and hold the power button and the volume down button for 10 to 15 seconds until the phone vibrates and restarts.
- Ignore any messages on the screen. The cell phone restarts completely and cleans the clipboard.
- If the soft reset doesn't help, you can try a hard reset.
