Under Windows 7 all the once popular game classics like solitaire or minesweeper seem to have disappeared - a nuisance for many users. The solution is so obvious. We show you how to retrieve and activate all standard games - without any additional installation.
Solitaire, Minesweeper, Mahjong & Co .: Simply activate Windows games
- In fact, all of the missing games are also on Windows 7. By system setting, the games are deactivated by default and therefore do not appear in the games list.
- You can change this with just a few clicks in the control panel. To do this, open the system settings by clicking on "Start" and "Control Panel".
- Now type in the search phrase "Windows Features" in the search field at the top right and wait a moment. Select the result »Activate or deactivate Windows functions« from the search hits. However, you need administrator rights for this.
- After a short loading time, a new window with numerous entries should open. Scroll to the point »Games« and click on the plus symbol to open the list with all the games included.
- Finally, activate all the games you want by clicking on the small checkbox next to the respective title. Alternatively, activate all games by ticking the checkbox in front of the "Games" item.
- If you now return to the game list under "Start" and "Games", all selected games should be available. You can now easily start this with a click of the mouse.
