Insert special characters in LaTeX - how it works
You need the appropriate codes to be able to insert special characters in the LaTeX office program. In this practical tip, we'll tell you how.
Insert special characters in LaTeX - all information
- If you want to insert ellipsis, use "\ dots" as a command.
- To insert these ellipsis vertically, you need "\ vdots".
- Add a backslash (\) in the text with "\ textbackslash", otherwise use "\ backslash".
- Curly brackets are inserted in the document with the command "\ {… \}.
- To insert dollar, percent, pound or ampersand, put a "\" in front of the respective character.
- An underline can also be inserted in the document in this way.
- The degree sign (°) is inserted in the text with "\ textdegree" and outside of text with "^ \ circ".
