Connect Sonos to TV - so it'll work
To connect your TV to the Sonos speaker, you first need the Sonos app.
- The Sonos Controller App for iOS is available in the store for free, as is the Sonos Controller App for Android.
- If you have already attached speakers to your television, remove them first. Then connect the TV to the Sonos speaker. Depending on the device, use a jack plug or a cinch.
- Use the cable to connect the audio output of the TV to the audio input of the Sonos speaker. Do not forget to connect all components to the power.
- Then set up the TV as a new component on the Sonos Controller app. With "Trueplay" you can turn your television into a home theater.
- After setting up the TV on the Sonos app, select the "Audio options" in the settings of the TV. You need to turn off the TV's internal speaker so you can enjoy the full Sonos sound in the future.
- The option you need is probably called External Speakers, which varies a bit depending on the TV. In any case, you also need to set up the Sonos speaker on your TV.
