Sony Bravia: Connect TV to the Internet - Here's how
If you have a Sony Bravia TV, you can connect it to the Internet and then surf the web or watch YouTube videos. In this guide, we will show you how this works.
Step 1: connect Sony Bravia TV to the internet
- The connection to the Internet is established either using a cable or via WLAN. As a rule, almost every Bravia TV has a LAN connection. With a LAN cable you can connect the TV to your router.
- Newer devices can establish the Internet connection via an integrated WLAN module. To do this, open the settings and select the "Network" category. Switch on the "integrated WLAN" here and connect the TV to your WLAN network.
Step 2: Use the internet connection with the Sony Bravia TV
Note: Not every Bravia TV supports the same content. Depending on the device and software version, different options can be arranged and titled differently.
- Press the home button on your remote control and then select "Internet content". Some Sony devices alternatively have an Internet button.
- Here you will find numerous online services such as the Pro7 or Sat1 media library. But other services such as the Tagesschau or YouTube are also available.
- Press the Home button again, you will find the Internet browser in the applications. You can open any website here.
- You need the Options button on the remote control to navigate in the browser. You can connect the keyboard and mouse to the Bravia TV via USB for more convenient operation.
