If you have bought a soundbar, you can connect it to your smartphone in different ways. We'll show you how it works.
Connect the soundbar to your smartphone via AUX, Bluetooth or USB
As a rule, every soundbar can be connected to a smartphone. Depending on the device, there are various options available. You can see whether your soundbar supports all routes either by looking at the connections or in the manual.
- AUX: As old as your soundbar may be, every device has an AUX connection (see picture). You can simply connect the black plug to the smartphone and your music will land on the soundbar. For this you need an AUX cinch cable.
- Bluetooth: If a Bluetooth transmitter is installed in your soundbar, you will find a corresponding Bluetooth logo on the device or the packaging. You can connect your smartphone and soundbar in the settings of your smartphone. You can find out exactly how this works in the instructions for your soundbar. The music is then transmitted wirelessly. General instructions can be found here for iOS and Android.
- USB: If a USB port is installed on the soundbar, this does not always help you when transferring music. The music is transferred without a doubt via a USB stick, but this is not always the case with a smartphone. Not every device is compatible for this type of transmission. You can see whether your soundbar also supports smartphones in the device's instructions.
