Sparkasse: Get the transfer back - how it works
If you have made a mistake in making a transfer or entered the wrong number in online banking, you will probably want to get the transfer back. We'll show you whether this works and how you can best do it.
Transfer error: You can do that
If the number is turned or zero is too much for a transfer, you should react quickly and contact the Sparkasse immediately.
- If you notice the error after submitting a transfer, contact the Sparkasse hotline immediately.
- With a little luck, the Sparkasse can still stop the transfer. With an online transfer, the chances are very slim.
- If the money is already credited to the other account, the Sparkasse will no longer have access to it.
- If you have submitted a transfer form to the bank, your chances of getting the transfer back are only slightly greater. Again, it is important to act quickly as soon as you notice the error.
- However, the bank's return service is not free of charge. For example, the Hamburger Sparkasse charges ten euros plus any expenses. If successful, a further 2.50 euros will be charged.
- Incidentally, these fees are also charged if the transfer of the transfer does not work.
Sending of money already booked - return only by Sparkasse
If the transfer has already been posted to the recipient's account, you can only request a return transfer.
- You must also contact your Sparkasse for this. The latter then contacts the recipient bank, which in turn contacts the recipient.
- There is no guarantee that the remittance will work. The money may be gone. Your bank doesn't have to refund it to you.
